A Replacement for Endless Online

I haven't posted here in years and I doubt anyone reads this blog anymore. Regardless, I felt the need to bring this urgent news! For anyone looking for a replacement to Endless Online or The Forbidden Gates, there's a new 2D isometric MMORPG in town. This isometric online game, titled Re:Spite, will be released in early 2018.

It's unfortunate that Endless Online died, as it was beloved by many. Anyone who knew me (Danno) should be well aware of my crusade against hacking tools back in the day. The players didn't care, though, and continued to distribute and use hacking tools until EO was run completely to the ground. The fact that the admins didn't moderate the game didn't help either. Eventually, I just couldn't stand the community anymore, so I gave my account info to Sanguinex to ensure that I could never return to the EO game or forum ever again.

After that, I began to follow a new hopeful 2D isometric MMORPG that was heavily inspired by EO: The Forbidden Gates. TFG seemed promising for a time, having a pretty big world and lots of content. It all felt too empty and grindy, though. There was a huge focus on leveling up to access new areas and to fight new monsters, but there wasn't much else. I'm not sure what exactly happened to MegaMoogle, Cascade, and Sairo, but the game died.

Endless Online has many private servers, but none of them will ever reach the original game's level of success. They have about as much street cred as RPG Maker games and are all born from the same cesspool that destroyed EO in the first place - that is, it is an achievement of EO's hacking community.

Anyway, Re:Spite is a new effort to fill the void in our hearts. For anyone look for a game like Endless Online - a free topdown 2D isometric online game - Re:Spite has you covered. It's gonna be every bit as social as EO while also having real gameplay, deeper character customization, and an actual story. You can check it out at https://re-spite.com!
